在这里学什么?

We're working, learning and innovating faster than ever before. Emerging technology is playing an even bigger role in our lives, but so are the ethical issues surrounding digital disruption and scientific advances.

Tech skills are not enough. Employers need science and technology pioneers with a human perspective. People who can identify and solve issues raised by new technologies. People who'll respond to urgent questions about ethics, inequality and sustainability. La Trobe's Bachelor of Humanities, Innovation and Technology is on the forefront of offering that unique blend of skills.

Study a combination of humanities, STEM and business subjects. You'll build a foundation of technical knowledge enhanced by creative, communication and critical-thinking skills. Think topics on environmental science, the science fiction imagination, cyber law and policy, and the philosophy of virtual reality. Specially designed core subjects let you build a portfolio of work to present to future employers.

You can also choose to strengthen your degree with one of the offered majors, including anthropology, business analytics, environment and sustainability, ethics and social justice and politics. You'll develop the technical skills and competencies to ensure you succeed in the workplace.

Thanks to our partnerships with Cisco, DXC, IBM, Optus and Technology One, you'll see how technology heavyweights work firsthand. Choose to build hands-on experience with placement opportunities with our partners, and kickstart your career with a portfolio of work to show future employers.

You'll learn:

Data-based critical thinking

Discover how to use data-based arguments to solve real-world problems.

Sustainability in mind

Learn how our actions affect economic, social, political and environmental systems now and in the future.

Cyber law and policy

Examine the effectiveness of the laws and policies which regulate cyberspace.

Innovation and creative intelligence

Develop and execute creative solutions to some of the most pressing social issues of our time.

The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 7.

We look forward to welcoming all of our students back onto our campuses once it is both safe and practical to do so, and in line with Government directions. We anticipate offering a mix of face-to-face and online teaching in Semester 1, 2021 across all of our campuses - detailed planning is underway based on the likely requirement for physical distancing.

CAREER OUTCOMES
