The Three-Plus-Two Environmental Science and Environmental Engineering Program is a cooperative agreement between the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) Department of Environmental Sciences and the North Carolina State University (NCSU) Environmental Engineering Program. The program gives students the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from North Carolina State University. Students will complete courses listed below to meet the requirements at UNCW. This course of study can be completed in three years. If the student meets the transfer admission requirements for NCSU listed below, the student is accepted into the Environmental Engineering Program. This program can be completed in two years. UNCW will accept credits from NCSU to complete the degree requirements at UNCW and NCSU will accept credits from UNCW to complete degree requirements at NCSU. Thus, the student receives a degree from UNCW and a degree from NCSU. The Three-Plus-Two program must be started in the fall of the freshman year if it is to be completed in 5 years.

To complete the Three-Plus-Two Program, a student must complete the following courses at UNCW:

• All UNCW university studies and graduation requirements.
• Environmental Sciences Computer Requirement: CSC 131.
• Environmental Sciences Oral Requirement: EVS 495.
• Environmental Sciences Applied Learning Requirement: minimum 1 hour.
• Environmental Sciences General Core Course Requirements: BIO 201; CHM 101; ENG 393; EVS 195 and EVSL 195; EVS 205; GGY 130 or GLY 120 and GLYL 120.
• B.S. Environmental Sciences Physical Science Option Requirements: CHM 102; EVS 470 or EVS 441; EVS 495, MAT 161, MAT 162; PHY 201, PHY 202.
• Environmental Sciences Physical Science Elective Curriculum: must include GGY 281; EVS 325 (ECN 325); EVS 364 and 6 hours of additional physical science electives at the 300-400 level.
• In addition to these courses, students must also complete MAT 261 and MAT 361.

A student must finish the UNCW phase of study with an overall GPA of at least 3.25, earn at least a 2.00 overall GPA in any NCSU distance education courses taken, and have at least a 2.50 GPA in the last two calculus courses attempted to meet NCSU’s transfer admission requirements. Students in this program will be advised jointly by the Department of Environmental Sciences and the director of the Engineering Program at UNCW to assure completion of the correct requirements for both programs.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher on a U.S. 4.0 scale to be considered for admission. Students must have completed the high school. English Proficiency: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - minimum score of 71 on the Internet-based exam. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - minimum score of 6.0 on the academic module. Duolingo English Test (DET) - minimum score of 54, Pearson PTE - minimum score 54.
