凯师中国国际高中一周Star来了，本次的每周之星是11A王俊杰同学。从九年级起进入CATS China凯师中国学习，今年是他来到CATS China凯师中国的第三年。注重学习的他也有着良好的运动细胞，常常出没在操场上!

This week, weekly star is Jason from 11A, who has been in School since the ninth grade. This year is his third year . He is really good at sports, and we can usually see him on the playground !

1、Study hard，Play harder

自从今年步入了11年级，也就意味着明年就要到国外去留学。学习负担不断加重，也就意味着更多的精力要放在学习上了。

Entering 11th grade this year also means going abroad to study next year. The burden of learning increases, which means that more energy is required to put to into studies.

对于11年级的同学们来说，毫无疑问，当务之急的便是雅思及托福。没有人会爱上刷英语题目，背单词，但是他们又不得不这么做，因为学习是他们当下最重要的目标。

For Grade 11 students, there is no doubt that the top priority is ISLTS and TOEFL exams. No one will feel delighted to solve problems English and memorize English words, but he has to do it again and again, because learning is the most important goal for him at this moment.

相比学习，体育对他来说已经是生活中不可缺少的东西了，没有运动的一天便会使得很不自在。他的兴趣爱好非常广泛，游泳，羽毛球，跑步都使得他的日常生活变得丰富多彩。自从小学开始他就进入了校足球队并且获得了优良的名次。

Beside his studies, sport is also indispensable to him, and a day without exercise will makes him feel uncomfortable. His hobbies are extensive, such as swimming, badminton, running etc. The can make his daily life more colorful. He was a member in School Football Team when he was in elementary school and has won many good prizes.

2、The Spirit of Sports

也许有人会问他：足球这样极高体力要求的运动是怎么坚持下来的?如果每个人都因为初始的坎坷而知难而退，那么还有谁再会去接受痛苦的训练，还有谁再会去到残酷的“战场”。

Someone might ask him: how does the sport of such extreme physical demands persist? If everyone is frustrated by the initial ups and downs, then who else is going to be trained for the pain and who is going to fight on the brutal “battlefield”? By Junior High School, he moved on to the College Basketball Team to diversify his sport and strengthen his physical fitness.

到了初中，他又转入了校篮球队，使他的运动多样化以及加强身体素质。并且进入了CATS China凯师中国之后，篮球一直是他和同学们的日常话题之一。

After entering the International High school, basketball has been one of the daily topics for him and his classmates.

在篮球训练的背后，每个周末都会进行艰苦的跆拳道集训。

Beside the intensive basketball trainings,the hard Teakwondo trainings have been practiced every weekend.

他相信：“有志者事竟成，破釜沉舟，百二秦关终属楚;苦心人天不负，卧薪尝胆，三千越甲可吞吴。”所以他毫不抱怨得苦练了五年的跆拳道并且获得了多位教练的认可从而担任了班级的“助教”。

He believes: "When there is a will there is a way." So he didn't complain bitterly about his five years of Taekwondo practices and earned the approval of a number of coaches to be the "teaching assistant" of the class.

他为了不辜负教练对他的殷勤期望，因此在每一次训练过程中都会苛刻地要求自己。在这过程中必定会有不同程度的伤痛，但他从不会因此而退缩。

In order to live up to the coaches expectations, he exactly demanded himself during every training session. There must be different degrees of pain in the process, but he never flinch from it.

随着自身能力的提升，近两年他参加过两次跆拳道比赛，在2016年8月他参加了“奉少体校”杯奉贤区第二届市民运动会跆拳道比赛及在2017年7月参加了“东方美谷”杯奉贤区第四届运动会跆拳道比赛并且都获得了**。

With his own skills, in the past two years, he had attended two Taekwondo competitions, in August 2016 and in July 2017 he took part in Fengxian Taekwondo competition twice. He has won the golden medals at two competitions.

3、Music lights up the life

除了体育之外，音乐亦是他生活中必不可少的一部分，今年的10月14和15日他和同学们一起参加了爵士音乐节的志愿者活动。他们帮助园内的游客指导各个舞台的方向来帮助他们有更好的音乐体验。

In addition to sports, music is an essential part of his life, and on 2017 Shanghai Jazz Festival，He continuously volunteered and helped many visitors.

出自喜欢音乐的原因，他从今年三月份开始接触了吉他并且走上了自学之路。2017升学典礼上，《晴天》便是他的**次登台表演的节目。

Because he loves music so much, he has been in touch with the guitar since March 2017 and has been on his own. "Sunny days" was his first appearance on the stage at the graduation ceremony.

除了首演的紧张之外，更多的既是兴奋与激动。

In addition to the initial tension, there is more excitement.

随着CATS China凯师中国Six Plan乐队的成立，他也承担了贝斯手一任。虽然是刚进入乐队并从未接触过贝斯，但因为有着吉他的基础，经过不懈的努力便跟上了乐队的进度。

With the appearance of the ‘Six Plan’ set up , he joined them as the bassist player. Although he was in the band, he never came into contact with the bass before but because of the fact that he had the basics of playing the guitar, he struggled to keep up with the band.

4、Travel broadens his horizon

去年暑假他参加了国外夏利营活动，去到了美国Boston、NY以及New Jersey校区。参观了波士顿松堡学院、莱德大学、康考迪亚大学，普林斯顿大学，哈佛大学等美国知名大学。

Last summer he took part in summer camp. He went to Boston, NY and New Jersey. He visited the top universities in the United States, including Pine Manor College (PMC), Rider University, Concordia University, Princeton University and Harvard University.

波士顿松堡学院环境优美，交通便捷，在上海结束高二的学习生活之后，他期望高三可以在松堡学院度过从而接受更好地教育使他离梦想更进一步!

The campus environment of PMC was very beautiful to him, and the transportation is really convenient. After graduationg in Shanghai, he hopes to be able to spend his time in the PMC to gain better education.

正如谢觉哉所说：学和行本来是有着的，学了务必要想，想通了就要行，要在行的当中才能看出自我是否真正学到了手。否则读书虽多，只是成为一座死书库。

As Xie Juezai said “There is a connection between learning and doing and you have to think. Only by doing that you see, you can truly learn to how to be in the right place. Otherwise, only by reading books and not using them, you just become a dead book library.

想要成功就必须要有行动及付出。光说不做只是欺骗自己罢了。

To be successful, you have to act and give.To say and not to do means that you only deceive yourself.

下面是对王俊杰同学的采访

Below you will find the interview with Jason

1、Q：What is the reason you learned Taekwondo at first place? What kept you going with this one until now? 当初去学跆拳道是出于什么理由?是什么让你坚持到现在?

A：At first Taekwondo can help you enrich your extracurricular life, but I didn't expect to get deeper interest in it. Additionally I increased my abilities for self protection.

起初接触跆拳道只是丰富课余的生活，没想到尽然越来越感兴趣而且还增加了对自我的防护。

2、Q：Facing today's study pressure, what do you do to relieve the stress? 面对如今的学习压力，你有什么想要说的或者解压的办法?

A：In my opinion, current academic performance is not enough for me. Proper entertainment is necessary, but we need to learn to find happiness in learning, and to customize a calendar to plan my time.

对我来说，现在的学习成绩肯定是远远不够的。适当的娱乐必要的，但是学归学、玩归玩，要**在学习中寻找快乐，给自己定制一张日程表来规划自己。

3、Q：Have you found any deficiencies in your learning? 在自身的学习中有发现自身有哪些不足吗?

A：I find that sometimes there are distractions. I want to focus more on studies, thus have higher learning efficiency. I also have a bias case, so I should strengthen my weakness, not because of the single performance but on the overall performance as well.

我发现有的时候会有不专心的情况，容易分心。我要使自己的专注力更加注重在学习上，从而有更高的学习效率。我也有偏科的情况，所以我要加强弱项的学习，不能因为单项影响总体的成绩。

4、Q：Are you going to graduate soon? Do you have anything to say to your junior students? 马上就要毕业的你有什么话想对学弟学妹说的吗?

A：We have spent many years together. We played basketball and played music. But now, as a student, we still have to learn, not to overindulge, but to be strict with ourselves. I believe that everyone of us will be able to enter our ideal university and complete out dream.

这两年我们大家一起度过了很多，一起打篮球、玩音乐。但是现在，作为学生的我们还是要以学习为准，不能过渡的放纵自己，要严格得拘束自己。相信你们一定能进入到自己心目中理想的大学，完成梦想。

5、Q：What was your special preparation for the last Christmas party ? 最后一次过圣诞节你有什么特别的准备吗?

A：Even though I recently started playing the bass in our band, we already prepared three songs for the show on Christmas party.

即使是刚刚才接触到贝斯，作为乐队的一员，我们乐队准备了三首歌曲将在圣诞节展示。

6、Q：What do you enjoy more - playing the guitar or playing the bass? 弹吉他或者弹贝斯给你带来了什么?

A：Guitar and bass have enriched my spare time and enriched my musical knowledge. At any time, music is always my best companion.

吉他和贝斯使我的课余时间更加的充实，使自己的音乐知识越来越丰富。在任何时候，即使是一个人，音乐永远是我比较好的陪伴。
