Course overview

Our courses cover all the essential engineering skills that top global companies are looking for in graduates. Our course will teach you essential skills including perspective sketching, design techniques, ergonomics, virtual reality and project management. You’ll have access to lots of well-equipped labs and workshops to help with the hands-on parts of the course - all of which help you work towards becoming a chartered engineer.

Year in industry

The fourth year of this course is spent in industry. You will receive support in applying for a year-long placement with an appropriate company. During the placement you will significantly enhance your engineering knowledge and skills. You will have regular meetings with your tutor throughout the year and will remain fully registered with the University.

Careers

Overview

Along with an accredited engineering degree you will have gained the practical and theoretical skills needed to improve the production systems for manufacturing industrial products and assemblies efficiently. Your transferable skills will also include effective communication skills and problem solving.

中国学生入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 Students who have completed 12 years of education (Gao Zhong) in China must complete a Foundation Programme or GCE A Level (or equivalent) and demonstrate proficiency in English language in order to progress on to an undergraduate degree programme. Students who successfully complete the Foundation Certificate, obtaining the grades required for their chosen degree programme, will be guaranteed admission to the University. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each component.
