专业概况

在这里学什么？ This course covers everything that impacts production in the supply chain. It prepare you for senior roles in a wide range of farming enterprises.The University of Reading is the highest-ranking UK university for this subject area and ranked 9th globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019 (Agriculture & Forestry).Agriculture combines the study of natural and life sciences with valuable academic and practical aspects of management. You will learn how to use biology and technology to maximise crop and animal production to meet economic targets and achieve environmental objectives. In addition to practical knowledge, you will gain a thorough understanding of business. You will also study globally recognised farming practices on the University's own farms.As part of the degree you can study globally recognised farming practices on the University's own farms. These include livestock production (Centre for Dairy Research), agronomy (Crops Research Unit) and environmental enhancement (Centre for Agri-Environmental Research).You can focus on animal science and production, crop science and production, agri-environment or agri-business, or tailor your course to your own interests by combining these areas.This programme comprises of a foundation year (Part 0) provided through the International Foundation Programme (IFP) which provides access to higher education in Britain to international students who do not possess the normal entry requirements of GCE Advanced level qualifications or the equivalent. Through the part 0 you will be equipped with subject specific and general study skills which will enable you to cope with the demands of undergraduate study. This is achieved through the provision of high quality teaching which is sympathetic to the needs of students from a wide range of educational backgrounds
