专业概况

Our Master of Science in Foreign Language Education provides specialized training and content knowledge for teachers of all levels of foreign language, including K-12, adult education and community college education.

Students who are state-certified teachers may pursue the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) track to earn an ESOL Endorsement along with our MS degree.

The MS in Foreign Language Education requires 33 credits, with the option to extend the program by 3-6 thesis credits.

The TESOL Track requires 36 credits, and students pursuing the this track must take Introduction to Linguistics (LIN 3010/LIN 3013/LIN 5018) as a prerequisite for the linguistics courses in the program.

TESOL Track is designed to provide specialized training and content knowledge for teachers of all levels of foreign language, K through 12, adult education, and community college education. Student who are state certified teachers may include the five courses required for the Add-on ESOL Endorsement as part of the Master’s program.
