Designed for the 21st century musician, the Bachelor of Arts in Music offers unique and innovative areas of study in performance, jazz, music technology and entrepreneurship, and general music. The Bachelor of Arts degree is a foundation for a wide range of career options, including performance, private studio teacher, composition, music technology and recording, concert management and promotion, or graduate study in music and/or other academic areas.

Degree requirements

Bachelor of Arts in Music: Jazz Studies Option

The Jazz Studies Option offers a comprehensive jazz curriculum, as well as exceptional training and diversified experiences through a wide variety of performance opportunities, to help prepare students for careers in the jazz field, as well as related contemporary fields.

Bachelor of Arts in Music: Music Technology Option

The Music Technology Option provides the foundation for a wide range of career options by combining studies in music technology and recording, along with music entrepreneurship and music business.

Bachelor of Arts in Music: Performance Option (Instrumental, Piano, Vocal)

The Music Performance Option emphasizes training in music performance in the areas of instrumental, piano, and vocal, while providing a strong foundation in music theory, history and conducting for students who wish to study music performance within a liberal arts curriculum.

Bachelor of Arts in Music: General Music Option

The General Music Option allows the student to create their own curriculum option by choosing courses from the other BA Options in order to create unique opportunities for distinctive educational experiences oriented to his or her specific needs and interests.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher on a U.S. 4.0 scale to be considered for admission. Students must have completed the high school. English Proficiency: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - minimum score of 71 on the Internet-based exam. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - minimum score of 6.0 on the academic module. Duolingo English Test (DET) - minimum score of 54, Pearson PTE - minimum score 54.
