Overview

The Department of Psychological Sciences conducts world-leading research on mind, brain and behaviour. We currently have over 100 staff, with expertise in experimental, applied and clinical domains. Research in the department is concentrated around a number of research groups, some of which represent the largest concentration of expertise in the UK.

Our research interests

We welcome research proposals that match those of our researchers. The department has research groups with concentrations of expertise in the following areas:

• Addiction
• Appetite and obesity
• Forensic & Investigative Psychology
• Language, Cognition and Expertise
• Mental Health
• Perception
• Perinatal, infant and child mental health
• Psychology of Healthcare.

中国学生入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 Students who do not meet the entry requirements stated above and students who hold a three-year diploma (Da Zhuan) from a recognised Chinese university with good grades, may be eligible for the University’s pre-Master's Programme delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College. Students need to have IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
