Overview

This course will help you understand real estate in the context of the international financial markets. It is designed to prepare you for a career in finance or investment management where you will be required to evaluate property investments against equity, fixed income and other financial derivative products. The flexibility of this course also prepares you to pursue a more general career within the finance and real estate sectors. This course is jointly offered by the School of Real Estate and Planning and the ICMA Centre. You benefit from the expertise and resources of two leading components of Henley Business School.

The School of Real Estate and Planning has a worldwide reputation for excellence and all our postgraduate courses open many options for employment in the relevant professions around the world.

The Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF) organises career development and recruitment events for our students throughout the year; these include an evening lecture series with key industry speakers and our annual Careers Fair. Through RREF we can offer all our postgraduate students the chance to have a mentor – a fantastic opportunity to receive personal advice from someone already working in the industry.

We have our own dedicated Careers Development Adviser who offers specialist advice on everything from preparing your CV to finding internships and permanent employment.
