Our MA Education (Leadership and Management) pathway will benefit teachers and educationalists from all education sectors, including administration, who are looking to enhance their skills, share knowledge, and develop professionally.

Aimed at ambitious educational leaders and future leaders, this master's course is designed to be flexible to meet the needs of busy professionals and to reflect your own interests. This course is offered on both a full-time and part-time basis.

Up-to-date research evidence supports and underpins everything we do, helping you to deepen your understanding of teaching and learning. You will analyse the key concepts in educational leadership and management theory within the context of an ever-changing political climate and increasing accountability.

The course also provides an excellent foundation to doctoral studies in education, or as a stepping stone to our successful part-time Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD).

At the Institute of Education, we recognise the uniqueness of every student and we address our teaching to suit your individual needs. Your tutors are internationally or nationally renowned experts, and their research regularly has a direct impact on school curricula and learning techniques - both in the UK and abroad. As experts in their field, their research also directly informs the focus and content of your course.

Our master's and professional courses have allowed many teachers to gain promotion within their institutions.

A number of students also continue their studies onto EdD/PhD courses to develop a career in educational research.
