专业概况

Inspire through education

Earn your early childhood education degree and learn the importance of early literacy development for infants and their families and young children up to third grade. As a student of this early learning program, you'll have internship opportunities to better help define professional goals. In this program, you'll learn early literacy development, and also learn innovative iPad techniques for instructional strategies and assessments.

As an early childhood education major, you'll combine theory with practical applications and understand both the physical and emotional development of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. While working with early learners, you'll observe different types of early learning communities daycare centers, preschools, elementary schools and early learning centers. Plus, you'll network with key influencers and explore how to implement current technologies to supplement your future approach to teaching and learning.

Early childhood education degree information

The early childhood education program prepares you to teach students from birth to age three. You'll learn how to manage a classroom and you'll gain a firm introduction to childhood education. You will immerse yourself in the world of education and explore childhood development. Through your major courses, you'll learn:

• Child screenings, assessments and parental involvement strategies
