Computer science, with its many subfields, is a continuously expanding field of study and your success is in part determined by your interest in specialized disciplines. A Master of Science in Computer Science from Fontbonne University will give you the theoretical and practical tools to succeed and advance in three subfields of computer science: software engineering, cybersecurity, and data science.

According to the Computing Research Association, the need for specialists in cybersecurity and data science is higher than it has ever been. ISACA, a non-profit information security advocacy group, has predicted that there will be a global shortage of 2 million cybersecurity professionals by 2019. The need for full-stack developers (skills learned in software engineering) has increased by 30 percent since October 2017. Full-stack developers are one of the highest-paid and most sought-after professionals in the US.
