If you hold a degree in areas outside of education but have felt the call to teach, the Master of Arts in Teaching is the key to entering the career you want and obtaining the teaching certification you need. Fontbonne has a long history of educational excellence, and our program is well respected for its comprehensive approach.

• This program is approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
• Our program is structured to provide the knowledge, technical skill and confidence needed to become a self-directed, lifelong learner who can offer critical, reflective and creative energy to students, colleagues and schools.
• Fontbonne’s Center for Teacher and Therapist Education provides a collaborative setting for training professionals certified in education, special education, deaf education and speech-language pathology and serves as a unique model for the preparation of a new generation of teachers.
• Students must successfully complete 33 to 36 semester hours of graduate credit for this master’s degree. Depending on the area of certification, additional coursework may be required.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have successful completion of the equivalent of American Bachelor’s Degree. Proof of English Proficiency such as TOEFL, successful completion of English Composition at a U.S. college or university.
