在这里学什么?The University of Liverpool, in collaboration with local FE partners, has developed a Year Zero foundation programme for Home/EU students that leads to access onto a variety of vocational Health Studies programmes:
Students seeking entry to Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science will study at Carmel College, St Helens. Students seeking entry to Diagnostic Radiography, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Orthoptics, Physiotherapy or Radiotherapy will study at The Sixth Form College, Birkenhead.

Career prospects
As a graduate of the School of Health Sciences you’ll be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You can look forward to a career in the National Health Service, Social Services or the private sector.
You will have gained a qualification that meets the Government’s criteria for ‘fitness for purpose’ and ‘fitness for practice’ as well as developing transferable skills such as communication, information technology, problem solving and teamwork.
Nursing
Nursing is currently 2nd in the Guardian University Guide (2020) and in the 2017 National Student Survey the Nursing programme was awarded a rating of 92% for student satisfaction and **** for graduate employment/further study.
Orthoptics
A recent National Student Survey awarded the Orthoptics Programme a rating of **** for student satisfaction. Orthoptic graduates are eligible to apply for statutory registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Most graduates choose to work in the National Health Service as an orthoptist in an eye care team.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students who have completed 12 years of education (Gao Zhong) in China must complete a Foundation Programme or GCE A Level (or equivalent) and demonstrate proficiency in English language in order to progress on to an undergraduate degree programme. Students who successfully complete the Foundation Certificate, obtaining the grades required for their chosen degree programme, will be guaranteed admission to the University. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each component.课程信息
