We are internationally renowned for our research. We have in key strengths in food flavour chemistry and flavour perception. Our research covers all levels of food and drink production. Starting with raw materials, through processing to consumer preference, and subsequent effects on the body.

Major research interests are:

• food flavour and sensory science
• food microbiology and safety
• food allergy and protein expression
• alternative proteins

为来自中国的学生设计 Students who do not meet the entry requirements stated above and students who hold a three-year diploma (Da Zhuan) from a recognised Chinese university with good grades, may be eligible for the University’s pre-Master's Programme delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College. Students need to have IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
