专业概况

在这里学什么？ This accredited course explores the interplay between chemistry and biology to develop a deeper understanding of the two subjects. It is a four-year degree programme with an integrated masters. You will have the opportunity of an assessed year spent in a research laboratory of a major chemical company. You will be a paid employee and will work on a research project. Recent placement students have worked at organisations such as Actelion, AstraZeneca, BP, GlaxoSmithKline, Lubrizol and Sygnature.In your fourth year you will undertake your own major research project on a topic that interests you. This will help you further develop your practical ability, team working and problem-solving skills, in addition to academic literature and presentation skills.Studying in our modern facilities will give you valuable practical experience, preparing you for a wide range of careers. Our students go on to work in a variety of industries, including chemistry, physics and pharmaceuticals. Employers of our previous graduates include leading organisations such as Boots, Cancer Research UK, the NHS and GlaxoSmithKline. We have been rated Gold for teaching excellence (Teaching Excellence Framework 2017). You'll be taught by academic staff who will feed your curiosity for chemistry. 中国学生入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 Students who have completed 12 years of education (Gao Zhong) in China must complete a Foundation Programme or GCE A Level (or equivalent) and demonstrate proficiency in English language in order to progress on to an undergraduate degree programme. Students who successfully complete the Foundation Certificate, obtaining the grades required for their chosen degree programme, will be guaranteed admission to the University. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each component.
