专业概况

在这里学什么？

The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree is an internationally-recognised Master's (by research) degree. It is designed for students to develop advanced skills in carrying out independent and sustained research. The thesis should demonstrate a critical application of specialist knowledge and make an independent contribution to existing scholarship in the area of research. Each candidate undertakes a piece of independent and sustained research on a topic under academic supervision and leading to the submission of a thesis for examination. Please note that some research areas require a higher fee, and you will need to apply for a different course code.

The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9.

CAREER OUTCOMES

The Master of Philosophy is an internationally recognized master’s by research degree that should equip graduates for further study (PhD) or employment in a range of occupations and positions across academic, government, non-government, education, community or private industries.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have an Australian Bachelor's degree with Honours at H1 or H2A level, or approved international equivalent.If you have Honours at H2B level, or equivalent, you may be considered in some instances. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL Paper-based Test - Overall score of 575 with 5 or better in TWE (Test of Written English); TOEFL Internet based (iBT): Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): Overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
