专业概况

If you’re an experienced graduate of a health-related discipline and looking to evaluate and explore the evidence for practice, develop and conduct health research, then the Master of Health (Research) is the course that will help you gain the qualifications to be recognised as a research specialist.

This course is available either as a research-only pathway, or a coursework and research program. It can be taken as an intensive 2- year course, or part-time online course. Each research project will be planned, developed and carried out under the supervision of a leading academic or industry partner in the field.

This course is designed specifically to help you develop the critical research skills and experience needed to research the health field of your choice.

Upon completion of this course, you will have written and produced a thoroughly researched and documented a research paper or thesis and have it made available for presentation purposes and peer review.

Study a Graduate Certificate in Health Research at UC and you will:

develop a focused, answerable research question, plan a research project, develop an ethics proposal use qualitative and quantitative research methods and use that information to undertake a systematic literature review at a master’s degree level plan develop and conduct research to answer your research question evaluate and understand the scientific literature in your field to gain advanced knowledge of current trends and future research options develop the skills necessary to communicate the results of your work deliver a well-researched and documented research paper or thesis become recognised for your research in this field.

Career opportunities

A Master of Health (Research) will lead you into a career as a specialist health professional and as a result, can then open further career options as an expert advisor and consultant in health or health-related fields for both government and private health sectors.

Completion of this course also offers a direct pathway into a Ph.D. in Health, through criteria-based transfer or further study.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: 1. A completed four year sequence in psychology accredited by APAC and completed within the last 10 years 2. A GPA of 6.0 or higher in fourth year psychology honours or graduate diploma course When no GPA is given for the honours year: Non-UC graduates - hold first class psychology honours (of at least 85%)
