专业概况

The master's program in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Ecology and Evolution offers students training in the pursuit of rigorous scientific investigation with an emphasis on ecological and evolutionary processes. Students in this degree program emphasize botany, entomology, zoology, or conservation biology through choice of advisor, committee, course work, and thesis or project. Our graduates have an excellent grasp of theory and application of ecological and evolutionary principles.

In addition, students with our degree will have gained experience in critical thinking, problem solving, research methodology (e.g., experimental design, sampling techniques, and analysis), and both written and oral communication. Our alumni are successful applicants for doctoral degree programs and generally attain high-level academic and non-academic positions in both the private and public sectors.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited and approved institution from a foreign country, or the completion of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Hold a GPA of at least 2.5 (from the 0.0-4.0 U.S. grading scale) in the last degree completed, or a GPA of 2.5 in the last two years of full-time study. Good academic standing at the last institution attended. English Language Requirements: TOEFL: 550 (Paper Based), 213 (Computer Based); 80 (Internet Based); IELTS score 6.5; PTE: 53.
