A Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in dance from Wichita State will give you a well-rounded dance education with a triple-emphasis on modern dance, ballet and jazz. You’ll train like a professional and gain real-world experience in on-campus productions and throughout Kansas’ center of arts and culture preparing you for a successful performance career.

Curriculum

As a BFA dance major, you’ll take 85 credit hours within the dance program, including courses in acting, dance technique, academics, theory, choreography and performance. You’ll also choose from a number of dance electives based on your interests and career goals.

Careers

From local productions to Broadway, a degree in dance from Wichita State’s College of Fine Arts equips students with the skills, connections and confidence for careers as performers, choreographers and educators.
