专业概况

This Master of Arts in Music Theatre course is a one-year postgraduate programme of intensive full-time study. It is a specialist training programme for those who are ready to build on and hone their skills. The programme aims to: encourage the development of performers with a distinctive and original artistic personality; provide aspiring performers with a bridge to a successful career; create an artistic and educational environment where performers can reach the highest possible standards and consolidate their technical skills; provide a programme of study appropriate to the needs of individual students; provide opportunities for students to be involved in a wide range of ensemble activities; give regular opportunities for performance in a wide range of contexts, both competitive and non-competitive; stimulate habits of self-awareness and self-criticism that will prepare students for the challenges of the music profession; encourage students to develop repertoire interests that will help promote their performance careers. On successful completion of the programme students should be able to demonstrate the following: Knowledge and Understanding; Key and Transferable Skills. Students who pass all summative assesments except the Professional Portfolio will be offerred a PgCert as an exit award.
