The Department of Political Science at the University of New Orleans offers a wide range of undergraduate courses leading to the B.A. in Political Science. Student had the option of including the concentration in Pre-Law. The department is composed of 8 full-time faculty members. Information about each is provided on this website.

Graduates from the Department of Political Science at the University of New Orleans have entered a wide range of fields including the law, federal government service, state and local government, business, interest groups, journalism, and pre-collegiate and collegiate education.

Student Learning Outcomes

College of Liberal Arts Bachelor of Arts in Political Science

Graduates will have a basic understanding of political science, political processes, and the role of politics in social affairs.

Students will demonstrate ability to quantitatively analyze political information.

Graduates will have knowledge of politics outside the United States.
